Democrat Dunces

The Democrat meltdown continues.

This political party, that once espoused an all-embracing message, increasingly narrows the entrance to its tattered tent. Those inside are fringe elements of American society, the pampered and privileged class from Hollywood and pop culture, typified by Michael Moore, and including so many faded flowers that are desperate for attention, like Barbara Streisand, Susan Sarandon, ad nausea. It is ironic that the ‘kook’ crowd that once embarrassed Republicans (remember the John Birch Society?) now, in more radical form, constitutes the core of what remains of this once proud, formerly national party.

The Democrats whine that their ‘message’ is not being heard. Au contraire! They were rejected precisely because the thinking American voter understands their message, which saturates the media through ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and NPR, and their thousands of local affiliates, and overwhelmingly dominates the press through selective and distorted (even fabricated) story selection.

The Democrats whine that the American voter is ‘dumb’. The opposite is precisely true. The Democrat spokespeople from Hollywood have an average education that is barely the equivalent of high school.  The inner-city voter that votes Democrat by a 90% margin cannot even match that attainment. That is a fact. The hard truth, according to all polls for many years, is that the average education of Democrats is far below that of Republicans. In fact, the more a person is educated, the more likely that person is to vote for the Republican candidate. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Democrats offer no inspiring message and no coherent policies. They spew hatred and promise more programs to increase dependency on government.

Democrat voters live in counties with the nation’s highest rates of crime and levels of taxation. Those most dependent on the government also live in these same counties. It is unfair to the large numbers of Americans trapped within these jurisdictions to term any state as a ‘Democrat’ state, because the focus should be on counties, where these statistics are vastly more acute. Democrat counties in America are less than 10% of the 3,000+ number. Not since the Civil War have the Democrats been more isolated.

Is it any wonder why the migration trends for the past 25 years have been so much away from the Democrat bastions? This is not because the people moving have made a decision based solely on politics, but, rather, because they are choosing to live in areas where there is more opportunity. Opportunity abounds where freedom and liberty are nurtured. It is stifled and limited where regulation and taxation are highest. Bill Clinton understood this when he declared, “The era of Big Government is over.” That helped get him re-elected in ’96 because it resonated with many Americans, but was scoffed-at by core constituencies of the Democrat Party.

In their increasing desperation, the Democrats have been trying to deceive the average American. They have tried a combination of imaging illusions (e.g., Dukakis in the tank turret, Al Gore swathed in flannel, and Kerry donning duckies) and message deception (“A Strong America”) that doesn’t fool Joe Six-Pack, Security Moms, or Working Joe & Jane. Yet, the Dems still don’t get it. Talk about dumb!
