I
am so tired of President Bush blaming the Clinton Administration on the
"recession!"... I
finally decided to look it up because, quite frankly, I didn't remember
a "recession" during the Clinton days I went to a site,
argmax.com and found so much information I couldn't believe it!
From that site I linked to "The EconReview" which had many
articles on the so-called "recession" the bottom line, which
is what I believed all along, is that the "recession" began in
March 2001, after Bush came into office.. The
report, from the National Bureau of Economic Research, Business Cycle
Dating Committee, dated November 26, 2001, stated that the peak came in
March 2001. "The peak marks the end of an expansion and the
beginning of a recession. The determination of a peak date in
March is thus a determination that the expansion that began in March
1991 ended in March 2001 and a recession began. The expansion
lasted exactly 10 years, the longest in the NBER's chronology." I wish someone would bring this to President Bush's attention because, obviously, his facts are wrong, once again!
