LIVING FROM THE YOLK

What we are and what we seem to be can be as radically different as an eagle egg lying in a sharp-twigged eagle nest and an eagle itself soaring on a current of air above majestic mountains.

The difference in the two lies strictly in the word awareness.

The eagle was once inside that egg. It's wings, its sharp eyes, its talons, its ability to know where it belongs and what it is created to do.

Humans are not all that different. Every physical characteristic we have today was in the fertilized ovum inside our mother's body when it was so small it could not be seen by the naked eye. The color of our eyes was right there in that tiny speck. Our body shape. All the characteristics that make up our appearance.

Speaking of Christ, John said he is "the light that lights up every man coming into the world." So there was a seed of Light within that ovum. There was a higher nature.

It is our awareness of that seed of Light that determines how well we soar. It even has a role in shaping our physical form. As we follow its wisest intuitions, we are literally learning the highest path of life.

It is my thought that the eagle's ability to soar comes from that same Light. No one needs to teach the eagle to soar. All the parent eagles do is stir up the nest so that the twigs have sharp points to make baby eagle unconfortable. They force it out of the rest and over the precipice knowing the ability to spread its wings and fly is built in. No one has ever seen an eagle crash! The parents have a minor role in teaching baby eagle but the main enabler is the Light-bestowed pattern. That pattern is right there in the egg in the nest.

The lesson for us is to honor the yolk and outwork everything that is built into our being. The patterns are there. We merely unfold them. It is like a large flag  unfurling one fold at a time. It is like a beautiful flower we put forth, one petal at a time.

The same Light that shined life and all our basic patterns into us in the fertilized ovum is available to us all our lives, to shine into all the darknesses we encounter internally and externally. We are born with this God-installed flashlight that enables us to see into the very roots and branches of our being.

Keep shining!
